Thank you for coming!

We had so much fun on Friday on the Start 2 Art Porch! It was a beautiful day and the children enjoyed learning how to pull monoprints. This is something that is a art form which children are rarely exposed to at school so I love to pull it out for events like this. The parents had fun making prints too, one found out the hard way that words are reversed but we made the best of it by calling it a mirror print! You had to read the super secret card in a mirror to get the message. ;) It was good learning for the kids to see how to turn lemons into lemonade. I loved the cooperation on the porch and outside on the patio where a father and his son made a painting depicting a sunset on a savannah with a cheetah. It was worthy of a museum! I hope that they hang it up.

This is the type of art that I love seeing. I show them how to use the materials and people use their own creativity and ideas to make it come to life. I hope that more people come to the class starting Friday so we can commence helping kids (in 1st - 3rd grades) make their art come alive! Sign up here: www.tinarawsonart.com
